Q: Did the content change?
A: The v2 Facilitator Guide contains 15 units you can choose from to teach; just as other recent versions have. They are listed in the table of contents. There’s no change in the contents of the 15 units, but you will see a different order in v2 (including a move of Speaker Listener II from Ancillary Content to Core Content).

Q: Will facilitators need to learn new content?
A: For Charlie events: You will only need to learn one new unit, which is an extension of the Speaker Listener Technique. The Speaker Listener II unit has been a great hit in a research project. It takes couples further in learning the Speaker Listener Technique. It is not a difficult unit to learn and present, especially if you are familiar with the Speaker Listener Technique.
For Alpha or Bravo events: You won’t notice any changes in the Facilitator materials. No additional training is not required or needed.

Q: Why did the order of the core content change?
A: The core content (the number and order of those units) changed because we realized over the years that most of those doing longer formats of PREP for couples use formats lasting around 12 hours. The arrangement of the first 10 units in this revised Facilitator Guide are what we recommend most highly for those with 12 hours of dedicated workshop time.

Q: What content is no longer included?
A: All of the content is still available. The units no longer in the core, 10-unit lineup include Problem Solving, Road Mapping, and Love Styles. Those units can now be purchased as individual modules.

Q: So what is the BIGGEST change in PREP 8.0 v2?
A: The largest change in PREP 8.0 v2 is the participant materials.

Q: How have the participant materials changed?
A: In earlier versions of PREP 8.0, each content theme (unit) had corresponding modularized participant pages. This version has a core 10-unit Participant Guide that will now come with the units bound together. This means the individual participant pages for these units will no longer come in shrink-wrapped module form. Further, since the participant materials are now bound manuals, they will no longer come in folders. We believe this will be a more convenient and organized way to give materials to couples.

Q: What participant material options are available?
A: There are 10-unit, 6-unit, and 4-unit versions of bound Participant Guides available.

Q: What comes in each bound Participant Guide Collection?
A: The bound Participant Guide Collections are titled: Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie, and contain the following units:

Q: How is the Charlie Collection different than what was offered previously?
A: Problem Solving, Love Styles, and Road Mapping have been dropped from the previous Charlie Collection (and those units remain available as ancillary units) and Speaker Listener II has been added. If you wish to do a Charlie event (10 units) but want to add any of the ancillary units, you could purchase the Charlie lineup participant guide for your participants (1 for each participant) along with the individual modules for the additional units you wish to cover.

Q: I’m not ready to make the switch to v2, can I still purchase the old version like I was doing before?
A: The previous version is still available for purchase (while supplies are available). When placing your order, please be sure to indicate if you are wanting the previous version or if you are wanting one of the v2 collections.

Q: Will I need a new Facilitator Guide (Leader Manual), Power Point, or other materials?
A: Since there is no new content, you would not have to have new facilitator materials. However, since the order of the content changed, if you are using your old materials, you will be flipping around quite a bit in the Facilitator Guide and media files if you do not order the new Facilitator Guide and new Digital Download files that line up with the new Participant Materials. You will have to decide what will be best/easiest for you so that you can stay organized and on-track while facilitating.
