A flexible-use curriculum containing up-to-date research
The language used in the Within My Reach Curricula is flexible enough to be used with individuals who may or may not be in a relationship. Within My Reach is based on up-to-date research in communication, conflict management, affect regulation, commitment, expectations, intimacy enhancement, emotional safety, and physical safety.
Within My Reach additionally focuses on partner selection with regard to important issues such as safety in relationships and the impact of one’s romantic life and on one’s children.
This newly revised curriculum is designed to help anyone, regardless of their goals or needs in romantic relationships, to develop useful skills in relationships that may benefit them more generally on the job, in the neighborhood, with children, with co-parents they are no longer involved with romantically, and with family.

A word about adaptations due to the pandemic
As an organization, we have found that all our curricula have been working well for groups doing virtual workshops. We offer technical assistance on this subject and many others to help providers get the most out of what they are able to do in the virtual space.
Our workbooks are designed to be an essential part of the learning experience, with many places where participants respond to questions and reflect on themes taught in the curriculum. Over the pandemic, we have discovered that there is no suitable digital replacement for these workbooks.
We have had considerable success encouraging programs providing workshops virtually to provide the physical workbooks to those they serve (e.g., mailing them out, or having people pick them up at a community center, or delivering them by hand). This allows participants to have this crucial resource as well as not be distracted by another digital input while attending a workshop virtually (e.g., via ZOOM).
